Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy
Department of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy focuses on providing outstanding teaching learning experience to the physiotherapy students during academic and clinical training. The students are taught and trained to evaluate, functionally diagnose and practice required physiotherapeutic skills during academic teaching. Skill development training programs are conducted periodically by the faculty to improve the clinical skills. Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy department organizes workshops, webinars, CME, invited talks/lectures by guest faculties. Considering research is integrated part of academic training, UG and students are promoted to conduct short term projects during their curriculum. Post graduate students are promoted to attend and to present papers in national and international conferences, workshops to update their knowledge.
Departmental Objectives
1. To deliver comprehensive education in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at undergraduate and postgraduate levels,fostering strong theoretical knowledge and clinical competence. 2. To develop proficient physiotherapists skilled in prevention, diagnosis, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions using evidence-based practice. 3. To promote high-impact research and innovation in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, encouraging student and faculty contributions. 4. To enhance clinical reasoning, manual therapy skills, and decision-making for effective patient-centered management 5. To foster professional growth through clinical services, collaborative research, workshops, CMEs.
