Poster Presentation

“The digestive system is the organ system that digests food, absorbs nutrients and water, provides energy, and eliminates waste from the body.”

Therefore the food / liquid enters through the mouth , in mouth presence of saliva it will mixed with saliva and with the help of teeth it will breakdown into a small pieces, then next it passes through the muscular structure which is called as a esophages into a stomach in which a food is stored for 4 to 5 hours and due to presence of HCL and enzyme it properly get breakdown and shift in a small intestine which is 6 m long where a nutrients , protein , carbohydrates , fats get absorbed & and next it will move towards the large intestine which is upto 1.5 m long and here more H2O will get absorbed and fecal matter will produce and this matter will moved towards a rectum and store in rectum & through the anus this waste fecal matter will eliminates ..

"Hypertension: The Silent Killer"
"Our poster on Hypertension was designed to create awareness about a condition that often goes unnoticed because it may not cause any noticeable symptoms for years, while gradually damaging vital organs. This is why hypertension is known as the “Silent Killer.” We briefly explained what is hypertension, followed by its associated symptoms and major risk factors such as high salt intake, physical inactivity, obesity, tobacco use and increasing age. We highlighted its serious complications involving the heart, brain, kidneys, retina and peripheral blood vessels. The prevention section focuses on healthy eating, reducing salt, regular physical activity, avoiding tobacco and excessive alcohol. We also emphasized the role of physiotherapy through aerobic activities like walking and cycling, resistance exercises and regular monitoring. To make the information more engaging, we used hand-drawn illustrations, a central heart-and-BP concept, colourful sections and interactive cut-outs, making the poster informative while keeping it simple and easy to understand."

"Prevention, management and Rehabilitation of Cardiovascular dieseases and stroke"
“Our poster represents the continuum from cardiovascular disease prevention to stroke rehabilitation. We have connected the heart and brain to show that cardiovascular risk factors can contribute to stroke. The poster first shows prevention and management of cardiovascular disease, then the problems caused by stroke, followed by assessment and physiotherapy rehabilitation aimed at restoring mobility, function and independence. Finally, the pathway leads toward a better future—because a strong heart supports a healthy brain, and timely rehabilitation supports a better quality of life.”

World Physiotherapy Day is celebrated every year on 8th September. Through this poster, I want to highlight the important role of physiotherapy in the prevention, management, and rehabilitation of cardiovascular disease and stroke. 1. Cardiovascular Disease On the left side of the poster, we can see Cardiovascular Disease or CVD. Cardiovascular diseases are conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels. Some important risk factors shown in our poster are: - High blood pressure - High cholesterol - Diabetes - Obesity - Smoking - Unhealthy diet - Physical inactivity - Stress Among these, physical inactivity is particularly important for physiotherapy, because regular physical activity can improve cardiovascular fitness and reduce several modifiable risk factors. 2. Stroke On the right side, we have shown stroke. A stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is interrupted, either because of a blocked blood vessel, called ischemic stroke, or because of a ruptured blood vessel, called hemorrhagic stroke. We have also included the BE FAST warning signs: B – Balance: sudden loss of balance E – Eyes: sudden visual disturbance F – Face: facial drooping A – Arms: sudden arm weakness S – Speech: difficulty speaking or understanding T – Time: immediately seek emergency medical help The important message is: when stroke symptoms appear, every minute matters.

Today, Live Tomorrow”, which highlights the role of physiotherapy and physical activity in the prevention, management and rehabilitation of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. At the top, we have shown the heart and brain together because they are closely connected through the circulatory system. A problem in the heart, such as formation of a blood clot, can lead to an embolic stroke if the clot travels to the brain and blocks its blood supply. We have also shown important risk factors such as sedentary lifestyle, unhealthy diet, smoking, obesity and hypertension, which can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke. Regular physical activity and lifestyle modification can help prevent these conditions. The poster then focuses on cardiac and stroke rehabilitation, where physiotherapy helps improve strength, endurance, mobility, balance, coordination and functional independence. In cardiac rehabilitation, exercise is progressed safely according to the patient's condition, while in stroke rehabilitation, physiotherapy focuses on restoring movement, balance, gait and activities of daily living. Our short-term goals are to improve mobility, strength, balance and exercise tolerance and to prevent complications, while the long-term goals are to achieve functional independence, improve quality of life and promote a safe return to daily and community activities. Overall, our message is that physiotherapy is not only important after disease occurs but also plays an important role in prevention and maintaining a healthy, active lifestyle—because when we move today, we can live better tomorrow. ❤️🧠

Theme: PREVENTION MANAGEMENT AND REHABILITATION OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE AND STROKE Stroke is a medical emergency and occurs when blood supply to the part of brain is blocked or interrupted. In center of poster there is man presenting the acute stroke showing weakness in face arm and speech.. We have shown the prevention, pt management and rehabilitation of stroke... Stroke says PREVENT ACT AND RECOVER ⚕️🩺 Presented by : Aparna Fasali Rutika Avasare
